Welcome to the S.J.Bean Clock Dial Restoration web site. My name is Simon Bean, I have been restoring antique clock dials for some years and offer full satisfaction with the quality of my work. I was taught my trade by Eddie Drage of Saxilby, Lincs, who was a leading and renowned expert in Longcase clock Painted Dial restoration before his recent and untimely passing away. All Grandfather clock dials are repainted using only paint, not ink. Please take the time to have a look at my Painted dial "Worlds" of which I am very proud, they are all hand painted and NOT transfers.
Please take the time to browse through the examples of the work carried out. All the Grandfather Clock dials are sympathetically restored back to the original condition. Even painted dials that might be considered "too far gone" can be fully restored. We also undertake cleaning and servicing, mainly on Long case / Grandfather Clock movements. Our movements are not simply "dunked" into a cleaning solution, they are all stripped and the parts are individually cleaned and then re assembled.
