The original label on the rear of the case door reads;
"James Webster of Salop commenced business 1760. The business originated by John Webster in1675 who served his apprenticeship with Tompion of London"

The clock with its excellent and rare calendar dial to the arch, along with working seconds dial and lovely Spandrels
8 day 4 pillar rack & snail striking movement fully serviced, in full working order
Beautiful Swan neck pediment hood with gilded paterae and ball and spire finial
Very rare painted landscape scenes to the hood front, the only example I have ever seen like this
Signed Ja's Webster Salop, the clock striking the hours on a bell.
